• The purpose of today’s presentation is to introduce my company which is the Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA)

I am hopping to cover three points :

Firstly the presentation of the company after that we will look at my tasks and finally the next challenge of the company.

               Let’s start with the presentation of the CEA :

• It was created by the general De Gaulle following the second world war in 1945

• This company is a French public government-funded research organization and this research are in 3 different fields.

  • Firstly, the Energy with the creation and the servicing of nuclear reactor like Jules Horowitz.

  • Secondly the defense of our countrie with the creation of military structure like aircraft carrier and submarine (Barracuda)

  • And finaly the Health technologies especially with research on Ebola

 

• I continue with some important figures :

  • The turnover is 4 billion of euro

  • The company is made of 9 resarch centers which are exclusively in France

  • There are  more than 16 thousands collaborators in the company

 

Moving on to the next part : My tasks in the CEA

• I am in the company since september 2016, i work in the IT department as IT architect

• The purpose of the IT architect is to improve the IT system and adduce new application to facilitate his collaborators works

 

• So my task is to adduce a new application of BI for all collaborators of the comany as well researchers than people who work in finance or marketing.

 

• This application allows collaborators to create dashboard with their data and comany’s data. They will allowed to merge differentes sources of data                                       (for example : merge excel data with SQL data). The particularity is that dashboard are dynamic so when you click on graph you can zoom on data

 

• To setUp this application in the company I do also user support and i create some communication media.

 

• So when i help user i follow a process ; I analyze the need, I do some tests on the application and I answer the request with a video demonstration to facilitate the comprehension

 

• Now i would like to summarise by the next challenge of my company which is to innovate in order to find an alternative to nuclear energy because reactors are very expensive and they have a significante and negative impact on the planet.
